With Christmas around the corner (gasp!  Really?!?!) it’s time to dress up your little girl in this beautiful Christmas headpiece!

Something about the fall makes me want to pull out the yarn and start a ton of different projects.  Yarn screams fall to me.  Does it to you?!

My daughter came to me the other day asking me to make her “pink bear a pink blanket”.  So I obliged of course.  Anything for my baby girl!  Although pink doesn’t scream fall to me.

But… I was not feeling the white coffee filter wreath for the fall season. So after seeing the yarn wreaths, I had to make my own!

For under $10 (in which they are about $40 if you buy them on etsy) and about an hour of time, I made my own… just the way I like it!!

These are so simple to make!!  You just wrap the yarn around your styrofoam wreath just like you would think.

In order to make these flowers, all you do is cut different sized circles out of your felt material.  Once you have your circles, you’ll start from the outside with your scissors and start cutting a spiral towards the center of the circle.  Then you’ll start wrapping the spiral around itself starting with the center.  You’ll just use a little hot glue on your way around to make it secure.

For the leaves, I just drew 4 leave shapes on my green felt and cut them out.

Then hot glue everything onto the yarn wrapped wreath!  Easy Peasy!

Hubby brought home this gorgeous rose the other day!  Melts. My. Heart.

And somehow putting it in a mason jar makes it even more beautiful!

Was browsing this morning and came across this great way to create your own scratch offs.  Isn’t this just brilliant?

Martha used them to make save the date cards, but I think they’d be a great way to share BIG news with your family if you’re expecting.  Or any kind of surprise!

I passed the idea of making one by my husband the other day and I got the eye… which means “I’m not so sure about that one…!”
